Karin Weiss

The artist Karin Weiss was born in 1968 in Braunschweig (Germany) and grew up in the Ruhr and the Saarland. Following she finished her studies in Bamberg  (german and slavonics studies). In 1990 she did a study visit in St. Petersburg. After this she changed to the University of Hamburg. In 2001 she moved to Dümmer and today she lives in Schwerin. During and after her studies she worked in the journalism industry (paper, radio, tv). Parallel to this, she did a self-study in art. In 2003 Karin Weiss opened her first gallery which is at the same time her studio.
