Axel Gercke

I am working with the classical themes of painting - figure, landscape and still life - with contemporary subjects. There are constant ones like the landscapes with cyclists and some very different ones. Sometimes the paintings tell little stories but my main interest is the medium itself. I very much like French painting of the 19th century.
